Horta da Coutada has the perfect location to enjoy the landscapes of Alentejo, now blossoming in the spring or the golden plains in the summer. You can take walks through the megalithic monuments of the region and take a stroll through the fields and slopes of Monsaraz. If you prefer water sports you can go to the center of the river beach, which is very close, where you will find several suggestions, such as wakeboarding, kitesurfing, and others. Also, boat trips or a good dip in the warm waters of the Alqueva dam are always an invitation to consider.

For those looking for an authenticity experience of the Monsaraz region, you can visit and make a workshop in the potteries of São Pedro do Corval, hold a wine tasting at one of the several wineries in the area, visit the museum of “Aldeia da luz”, Alqueva dam, visit the historical monuments and the medieval village of Monsaraz. TYPICAL CELEBRATIONS IN MONSARAZ
In this rural tourism in Alentejo you can stay to watch some typical celebrations in the region, such as: “Santo António” festivities on June 13 in Reguengos de Monsaraz, with several musical groups of renowned artists. The annual fair of August 15 in Reguengos de Monsaraz, the celebration of “São Sebastião” in Telheiro in the first weekend of September and the celebration of “Nosso Senhor dos Passos”, in the second weekend of September in Monsaraz.
